In my time at CGTC I have helped many students to achieve their goal to become successful in this industry.
Even though, being an Instructor and seeing my students move on to being successful in this industry, not a day goes by where I don’t miss being behind that chair.
After weighing all my options, I concluded that an in-home hair salon will be my best option.

By opening an in-home salon, I will also be able to set example for future and past students.
A lot of my students dream about opening their own salon one day but give up because it is costly, complicated, and stressful etc. Other students, who are already successful, working in a salon must quit their job for example because of their dependents.
Paying boot rent, working on commission, or working salary based, and having to purchase your own products, is insubstantial while paying for classes to keep up with the newest knowledge on products, trends and technics, keeping your skills and knowledge up to the newest standard while having to pay day care etc., simply becomes impossible.
The biggest benefit of my in-home based salon would be to my clients.

Another benefit will be that through my in-home salon this community will grow closer together.
